Why do I need Insurance?
As more and more people choose to holiday in the UK the need for Travel Insurance will increase, and while purchasing cover for foreign holidays is commonplace, the need for cover in the UK has been minimal, until recently.
The coronavirus pandemic could potentially impact people’s holiday plans for some time to come and protecting against this, and other potential losses is a good idea in case you have to cancel or cut your trip short.
There are some important things to consider when purchasing Travel Insurance:
- Travel insurance can be purchased as soon as you’ve booked your holiday, the longer you leave buying insurance then the greater the risk you’ll need to cancel for a reason that would have been covered by insurance.
- Cancellation and curtailment (cutting short) of your holiday are the main areas that most people will want to protect against however there are many other aspects to the cover such as travel delays, loss or damage to baggage and any accidental damage you may cause to the place you are staying.
- Check the excess levels on your policy, some policies have different excess levels of each section and some that are payable if you claim under multiple sections of the policy.

FAQs
We’ve created 3 levels of cover to cater for the fact that holidays in the UK come in different shapes and sizes and therefore you need to tailor your cover to your needs.
For example if you need a high level of cancellation or curtailment cover then the premier tier might be better suited to your needs.
You can take out a policy when you book your holiday right up to the day you are due to travel or at any time in between.
Yes we do, however certain sports and activities such as Paintball, Go-Karting and Sailing are excluded under personal liability cover and these are detailed in the sports and activities section of the policy wording.
Cover under our policy is subject to a trip that is a minimum of 2 nights.
No our policy only covers holidays in the UK.
Unfortunately not, we can only cover you if you legally reside in the UK and have a residential address you can refer to.
No the Covid-19 related cover is for illness or personal quarantine related losses, any national lockdowns or regional quarantine is not covered under our policy.
It means that the benefits listed in the table of cover in your policy wording, or in our marketing materials and online, are for each person travelling on the policy.
So for example under our Premier cover you get £1,500 for cancellation, so a family of 4 has cover for 4 x £1,500 which is an overall amount of £6,000.
Any claims for losses as a result of a pre-existing medical condition are not covered unless they are listed as a waived condition in your policy wording.
Yes, but you’ll need to buy separate policies as we only cover individuals, couples or families, not groups.
At the moment our policy covers single trips, so you’d need to take out a policy for each of your UK holidays. It has been designed to be sold alongside a booking which is why it is designed that way.
No, travel insurance is not a mandatory insurance. Although we recommend insuring your holiday, you are not legally required to do so.
